A 13 year old Hungarian boy wins film at Cannes | 24.hu

Abel Százados, a centenary of a 13-year-old boy from Pécs, was awarded a prize for his cellphone short film, Ábel Százados, at a small festival in parallel with the Cannes Film Festival.

Captain Abel received the Most Promising Young Filmmaker for his short film ever made at the World Peace and Tolerance Institute Awards in Cannes. The award was presented by Professor Karl Bardosh at the American Pavilion on behalf of the international jury.

Abel wanted to make a superhero short film where his brother jumps off a ledge in super slow motion. His brother, however, was so sad at the moment of the recording that Abel finally made a short film about suicide:
