Baco Exu do Blues clip wins prize at Cannes advertising festival | Media and Marketing | G1
The clip "Bluesman", by the Bahian rapper Baco Exu do Blues, won the Grand Prix (GP) in the category "Entertainment for Music", of Cannes Lions 2019. The GP is the maximum award of the international festival of creativity , considered the most important in the advertising market in the world.
Produced by AKQA São Paulo and Stink Filmes, the clip shared the main prize of the category with the video for “This is America”, by the rapper Childish Gambino.
The 8-minute short film addresses the reality of the country's black population and discusses how racism is rooted in Brazilian society. See the clip here.

In addition to the GP, Brazil also won two more lions in the category: one gold for Artplan, for the "Mistaken Love Song" campaign, developed for the Ministry of Human Rights and Women's Secretariat, and one bronze for Talent Marcel for clip "See the Music" for Osesp.
