Cannes Festival kicks off with fewer entries
There are fewer entries in this year's edition of Cannes Lions, the international advertising festival taking place in the southern city of France until next Friday, June 21. This year 30,953 entries were submitted, 4% less than a year ago. Two years ago, the number of entries had exceeded 41,000.
Edson Athayde, president and creative director of FCB Lisboa, and Rodrigo Viana de Freitas, general director of the Central Information Communication Agency, are the two Portuguese judges at Cannes Lions, evaluating the Brand Experience & amp; Activation and Public Relations, respectively.
There are also 14 young creatives who will participate in the Young Lions. In Press / outdoor will be the duo Ruben de Barros (FCB Lisbon) and André Martins (ComOn); in Film Alexandre Meneses and Miguel Mestre (Partners); in Design the duo Patrícia Cordeiro (Big Fish) and Cláudio Soares (JWT Lisboa); in Digital, the duo Fernando Silva (Fuel) and Pedro Barroso (Publicis); in Media the duo Beatriz Carreira and Gonçalo Perdigão (Wavemaker); in PR, the duo João Barroso Viegas and João Pedro Ferreira (Wisdom Consulting) and, finally, in Marketing, the duo Rúben Pardal (Worten) and Carlos Miguel Coimbra Martins (NOS).
This Monday, the first results from the Pharma Lions, Young Lions Health, Health & amp; Wellness Lions, Lions Health Grand Prix for Good, Healthcare Network of the Year, Healthcare Agency of the Year are well known, as well as the Print & amp; Publishing, Outdoor and Design.
In last year's edition, FCB Lisboa was a finalist in Film and Industry Craft, as well as Solid Dogma in Brand Experience & amp; Activation. At Young Lions, the creative duos were Gold in Marketing and Silver in Design.
