Cannes Lions 2019: This is how much the German participants spend on their submissions
From Monday, the creative world will meet for the 66th time at the International Festival of Creativity in Cannes. Now the organizers have announced the most important figures for the creative competition: Participants from 89 countries submitted a total of 30,953 works this year - compared to 32,372 in the previous year. Correspondingly, the agencies 'expenses have continued to decrease. Even after the Publicis award pause, the agencies' trend continues to reduce their spending on the awards shows.
The cheapest entries at the Cannes Lions start at 555 euros (early bird for categories like Radio & Audio / Design / Direct / Brand Experience & Activation), the most expensive ones cost 1885 euros (late entry for Titanium & Creative Effectiveness). Depending on the submission phase, between 865 and 1225 euros are due for the submission of an advertising film.
The 66th Cannes Lions will be launched in three days. From Monday, the jurors will again decide on the most creative work from the advertising world in 27 main categories. HORIZONT Online is already making a forecast and is presenting 15 works from all over the world, which are among the hot favorites for the coveted Lion Trophies at the creative festival on the Côte d'Azur.
