Hit movies from Cannes from Friday in Muranów
Pre-premiere screenings of high-profile films from this year's 72nd International Film Festival in Cannes are organized by the Muranów cinema. As the first on Friday, August 9, we will see "Pain and Glow" by Pedro Almodóvar (8pm and 8pm) with Penélope Cruz and Antonio Banderas (Golden Palm for the best male role). This is a story about director Salvador Mallo struggling with a creative crisis.
On Saturday, also at 20 and 20:30, "Parasite" directed by Bong Joon-ho, or thriller romance with a comedy (Golden Palm for the best film). He talks about people on the edge. He is "a driver without a job, a housewife without a home, a student without a cash register and a girl with no prospects," as Gutek Film, the distributor of the film, describes.
In Muranów we will also see "Portrait of a Woman on Fire" by Céline Sciammy (Golden Palm for the best script). Show: Sunday at 18. Action plot: 1770, Brittany. This is a film about the passion between aristocrat Héloise and her portraitist Marianne.
