Interview with Emily Shah, in the ‘Jungle Cry’ rugby film presented at the Cannes Film Festival
Emily Shah is an American-Indian actress, daughter of the famous Bollywood actor and director Prashant Shah. Former Miss New Jersey in 2014, she is also the youngest competitor in the history of the state and the first American Indian in the Miss USA competition. She is the protagonist of the Indian film "Jungle Cry", which recently made its international debut at the Cannes Film Festival and will be released in the coming weeks. Based on a true story, the film follows a young team of rugby players who grew up in the slums of India but who made history by winning the 2007 Rugby Nations Cup in England. Emily plays the team's physical therapist and is also an executive producer on the film.
Emily was also an assistant to Clint Eastwood for Jersey Boys and collaborated on "Captain America: The Winter Soldier", "Monster Trucks" and "Fast & Furious 7": she is a UNICEF ambassador.
