Ligue A: Sète wins against Cannes, the leader, and takes first place
Cannes had not yet suffered defeat this season in Ligue A and occupied first place, before Friday's matches, with a point ahead of Tourcoing and Sète. But the Cannois fell in their hall, facing Arago de Sète, in four rounds (27-25, 25-21, 18-25, 25-19). Vasyl Tupchii (18 points), Vyacheslav Tarasov (17 pts), Daryl Butor (15) and Arno van de Velde (13) were the best Sétois. In the standings, Sète is the new leader of Ligue A. For its part, Cannes fell to fourth place.
Tourcoing also won, against Nice, the red lantern, in five rounds (25-19, 19-25, 25-22, 18-25, 17-15), worn by Ronald Jimenez (25 points). Finally Rennes, fourth in the ranking, went to win in Toulouse, in three sets (25-17, 25-21, 25-20).
The other matches will be played on Saturday. Tours will be opposite Ajaccio (7:30 p.m.). At 8 p.m., Chaumont will receive Nantes-Rezé, while Montpellier will play against Narbonne and Paris Volley against Poitiers.
