On Friday, May 17, during the Cannes International Film Festival, the final and award ceremony of the Nespresso Talents competition will take place. On this occasion, the brand invited two Polish personalities very well known in the world of cinema to Cannes. Magdalena Boczarska, actress and coffee lover, and Łukasz Maciejewski, film critic and ambassador of the Polish edition of the competition, will cover the events of the Film Festival on their social channels.
In the image area, Nespresso is strongly associated with the world of cinema. George Clooney has been the brand's ambassador for 13 years. The actor takes part in advertising campaigns. He is also an active member of the Nespresso Advisory Board for Sustainable Development, responsible for innovative solutions for improving the quality of life for farmers, their families and local communities involved in the cultivation and sourcing of coffee. In addition, the brand cooperates with many film festivals, including For 12 years, he has been the official partner of the Cannes International Film Festival - one of the most prestigious film festivals in the world. During this festival there is an award ceremony in the Nespresso Talents film competition, which aims to support young talents.
The Nespresso Talents competition was created to discover young talents and inspire filmmakers around the world to create positive changes. This year's competition title was "We are what we eat" and the three-minute film was to be shot in a vertical format (9:16). The jury of the Nespresso Talents competition is composed of experts in specific fields: Boris Diaw - producer and director of short films, Brad Leone - culinary critic and James Thompson - photographer and ambassador of Nespresso in the aspect of tasting.
The work of young filmmakers from Poland stands out internationally for the second time. Last year, nearly 400 films from over 40 countries were submitted to the competition, and the Polish film by Anna Zoll "Heart Therapy" won the second place. This year, the 10 best filmmakers from around the world were on the final list and again a Polish woman - Karolina Kozioł, who lives in London every day and conquers the British film market. Finally, the jury will select three winning films whose creators will receive a cash prize: 5000 Euro for first place and 3000 Euro for second and third places. Winners of the winning films will also receive an invitation to the Cannes International Film Festival, where they will be officially announced and honored. In addition, the winners will take part in special mentoring sessions in Cannes.
Due to the successes of Polish contestants, the brand would like to bring Poles the final gala of Nespresso Taletnts and the Cannes Film Festival. At the same time, emphasizing their significance in the world of film, Nespresso invited two envoys to cooperate, who combine the world of cinema and coffee very coherently: Magdalena Boczarska - an actress and coffee lover - and Łukasz Maciejewski - a film critic and ambassador of the Polish edition of the competition. Both will take part in the award ceremony at the Nespresso Talents competition and will also participate in the exclusive "Battle Fooding vs Michelin" dinner at the Nespresso zone located at the Cannes Festival.
