Sanatorium of love awarded in Cannes. TVP's success at the fair

The MIPTV television fair has ended in Cannes. The Polish Television 'Sanatorium of Love' program was distinguished on them. Broadcasters from such countries as Turkey, USA, Canada, Ukraine, Great Britain, Spain and Georgia expressed interest in buying license rights.

Eurodata TV Worldwide presented a report that honored the five most successful TV premieres of 2019 in the world. One of them was the Polish Television program "Sanatorium of Love" (next to foreign titles: "113" - Norway, "Judas" - the Netherlands. "Project Blue Book" - USA and "Masked Singer" - also the USA).

The "Sanatorium of Love" distinction translated into great interest in this format through various markets. The portal Wirtualnemedia.pl has learned that the purchase of license rights to this project includes countries such as Turkey, USA, Canada, Ukraine, Great Britain, Spain and Georgia. In total, over a dozen broadcasters (mainly public) from around the world declare their willingness to purchase 'Sanatorium of Love'.

The first season of 'Sanatorium of Love' was broadcast on Jedynek on Sunday at 21.15, from January 20 to March 31, 2019. The average viewership of the premiere production episodes was 3.50 million viewers. Polish Television is working on continuing this series, which will return to Jedynka next year. Participants in the project are being searched for.

- The presence of TVP at the MIPTV fair is a great opportunity to present TVP production internationally. Polish TV series, feature films and documentaries find their foreign broadcasters and distributors here. We are very pleased with all sales and growing interest in our formats - said Monika Karasek, director of the Trade and International Cooperation Office at TVP.

MIPTV is a global festival of broadcasters and television, film and online production, which attracts media representatives from around the world every year.
