The twinning between Alba Accademia Alberghiera and the hotel school in Cannes continues
The IMPACT project will host a mid-term conference on Sunday 17 November at 3 pm in Sala Beppe Fenoglio in Alba: the didactic, food and wine and cultural twinning funded by the Interreg ALCOTRA program, which sees two important hotel academies as partners: Alba Accademia Hotel and the Faculté des Métiers École Hôtelière in Cannes.
The first results of the project will be presented interspersed with videos and photos of the activities carried out. Representatives from local institutions, the two hotel academies and the project managers and coordinators will speak. Teachers and students will tell us about the experiences and challenges of this innovative project, with a fingerprint but strongly linked to the territory.
The Italian and French students involved in the project will be present at the Truffle Fair with the dressage of some traditional desserts, served as a frame for show cooking scheduled for 16 and 17 November.
"The past year we have collected encouraging results: experimenting in local events allows young people to improve cooking techniques and, at the same time, to learn to work in a team, to move in an international work context. The conference will be the an opportunity to draw up a first budget of the project and anticipate the activities and events planned for this new training year ". So said Mario Deltetto, sector manager for Alba Accademia Alberghiera.
Annamaria Monticone, Project Manager, underlines the most relevant aspects: "The strength of this project is multidisciplinarity, the ability to combine digital, teaching and territory. This creates a context of exchange and comparison on different levels, but very rich for all : for young people, for teachers, for training operators. It is also an opportunity for Alba Accademia Alberghiera to better express all its versatility and the know-how acquired over the years. A step towards the future that however does not betray the our roots and indeed helps us to rediscover and make known the best of the territory and traditions. Participation in the Truffle Fair confirms this link ". & Nbsp;
The IMPACT project of APRO Formazione is the didactic, food and wine and cultural twinning funded by the Interreg ALCOTRA program which sees Alba Accademia Alberghiera and the Faculté des Métiers École Hôtelière of Cannes as partners. For the 2019-2020 training year it will involve eighty students between Italy and France.
The project includes events on Italian and French territory, moments of innovative teaching and streaming video lessons, collaborations with top companies, culinary competitions and in-depth seminars.
The 2019-2020 will see several innovations: in addition to the involvement of a greater number of children, also four didactic dinners, 4 cooking competitions for students, 4 events on the cross-border territory (Truffle Fair, Torino Gourmet, Cuisine Cannoise en Fête and Les Etoiles de Mougins).
The publication of the territorial videos collected in the “Cunteřa” series will continue, of which a part is already available online on the Alba Accademia Alberghiera youtube channel and can also be reached from https://impactalbacannes.eu
The films made in France by the Faculté des Métiers École Hôtelière in Cannes will enrich the territorial storytelling path. The project will also be an opportunity for in-depth study for industry experts.
